Winter glam
How do you stay pretty when its cold outside?
I personaly love warm woolsocks, soft slippers, warm louge pants and bright sparkled nail polish. When dressing up, I make sure I bundle up well while outdoors. Many times I bring slippers to peoples parties or really warm socks so I stay warm.

Some current favorites
Happy Monday! It is getting colder each day ( yuck ) so I am happy I am going to florida for vacation in Febuary :) I love warm woolen winter wear, enjoying a book with tea, using pretty tea cups to hold jewelry and other small items and collecting pretty vintage glass bottles in different colors to hold flowers, herbs and tiny seashells.
Living in New England means its hard to enjoy the beach year round. The wind would blow me away if I went now. So decorating with glass bottles, sea glass and seashells help cure that loss each winter.

Yummy pumpkin seed salad
Pumpkin Seed Salad:
-2 heads (or bags) of butter lettuce
-1 8 oz. bag of pumpkin seeds
-1 pear sliced
-1 teaspoon of cinnamon and sugar
-1 head of fennel
Dressing:
-½ cup olive oil
-1 tablespoon of agave
-1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
-¼ teaspoon of sea salt and pepper
Cut lettuce and fennel and mix together in a bowl. On low heat simmer the pumpkin seeds, cinnamon and sugar for about 10 minutes or until a smidge crispy. Let the seeds cool and then mix into the salad. Wisk all of the wet ingredients for the dressing together, and toss with the salad mixture and serve!

Tea time!
What a busy week and weekend. I am so beat and wanting to just sleep. Besides work and errands ( weekly shopping for food, the bank, libary, etc.) I went to Maine for the day on Sunday and on Saturday I cleaned and re - organized my closet using fabric bins to store shoes , my summer clothes, and hooks to hang up my purses. It came out great and I am so glad I got it done!
Now the days are colder and shorter, making me just staying indoors. When I am home I blog in my pjs in my warm bed with hot tea. :) The best thing on a winters day.
